In Which I Confess My Love for… You.

by Madeleine Rex

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
And, yes, I am totally kidding.

There are a few things that I haven’t addressed nearly enough on this blog. One of them is: You.

You, dear reader, are the buff that makes this blog shine. You are the sugar sprinkles (chunky ones are gross) that make it crunchy and give it that extra “oomph.” You are the homemade whipped cream that is way yummier than the dessert itself.

And I feel like I don’t acknowledge you.

Our relationship is often on rocky waters. I work long hours and don’t spend enough time with you. I don’t sit back and just laze about with you often enough, talking about pointless things such as the weather and the fact that Zac Efron is sooo 5th grade.

I want to shift the spotlight onto you. We’ve got Father’s Day, Mother’s Day – heck, we even have St. Patrick’s day, which no one pays attention to and which I only notice because it’s my dog’s birthday – but we don’t have a Wordbird Reader’s Day.

I’m not saying that the third Wednesday in April is officially yours, but I want to do something for you.

What shall it be?

What do you want? Memes? More interactive posts? Ask me questions! Ask me lots, and lots of questions. Do you want more posts on books or writing or totally random subjects (Yes, I can do that, too!)?

Whatever it is, I can deliver. I just need to know what’s on your mind. You can contact me via email, Twitter, comments, or telepathy.

I’m open to ideas.

Because, dearie, I love you.
